Google Workspace, in late 2024, was undergoing an overhaul of its products, integrating AI tools into the UX to enhance and modernize the suite for a premium user experience.
challenge.
Google Forms was an outlier tool that wasn't integrated meaningfully with other Workspace products like Docs, Sheets, or Slides. I needed to consider embedding Gemini into Forms and exploring how it could fit within the ecosystem.
solution.
Joining the Workspace team, I evaluated Sheets and Forms and envisioned how Forms could serve as a marketing tool, functioning as a funnel for data collection into an automatically connected Sheets.
I also reviewed the existing tool and proposed ways AI could be integrated into the Forms process, such as providing question prompts or enhancing a question you’ve already created.
results.
The concepts were very well received by our users in UXR, and Forms AI is scheduled to roll out later this year.
