B2B tool PiVT

about.

PiVT, a purchase approvals tool, is part of a network of people, processes, and tools that allow Googlers to purchase goods and services in a safe and effective manner.

challenge.

Googlers were not using Pivt due to a confusing process that bombarded users with notifications. Approvals were rarely accomplished through the portal but by hacking around the system

This had an added impact of Legal and Finance teams not having transparency into budgets or any liability Google may be exposed to.

My task was to rethink the IA, CUJs and design the UX.

solution.

My design iterations were rigorously tested with users to ensure the best experience is provided to give the product a long shelf-life. I delivered:

  • Final product designs

  • Specifications library set up to cover all potential aspects and states of the experience

  • Redlines and Greenlines (accessibility) are provided for every type of document, Including Invoices, Purchase Requests, and Purchase Orders.

  • Project gates set up for Design, Content, and Delivery

I designed several new elements including comment threads, approval 'chains' and time stamped approvals, in response to the asks of the users

results.

User footprint increased by 350% on launch of new design
